Giving blood can make anyone into an everyday hero, and Baraboo residents have been asked to roll up their sleeves and maybe even help save a life.
Don Larson Chevrolet Buick GMC has partnered with the American Red Cross to serve as the location for a blood drive. All types of blood are in high demand, and the session will be able to accommodate anyone who would like to make a “Power Red” donation, meaning one with an especially high concentration of red blood cells.
When they arrive, donors will be greeted, asked some basic questions, and will receive a simple health check to make sure giving is right for them. If all is well, they will the make their donation before relaxing for a few minutes over some light refreshments before heading out for the rest of their day.
To thank those who chose to make this lifesaving contribution for their generosity, a $10.00 e-gift card will be presented to each participant. Customized business Forms featuring a group’s Logo Design and other materials for an event can be crafted at local Print shops.
Anyone who would like to get involved in this activity is encouraged to reserve their timeslot online in advance, as this may save them some time. It’s scheduled for August 25, and will run from 11:00 am until 4:15 pm.
