Baraboo offers appraisal event

Baraboo’s Carnegie-Schadde Memorial Public Library has scheduled an activity that will help to determine if an heirloom is trash or treasure.

Mark. F. Moran has been invited to share his expertise when he participates in an event coming up at the Topham Family Foundation Auditorium. The schedule for the day runs from mid-morning, and there will be time to provide appraisals on around 40 items.

Moran, who has co-authored several books about antiques and has also served as a subject matter expert on PBS appraisal show, will be demonstrating his knowledge to the public. Anyone who would like to have an item appraised must register, but those who would like to sit in as audience members do not need to sign up in advance. There is an opportunity for those with large items to book an in house appraisal. Anyone interested can call 715-281-5060 to make arrangements for this.

An appraisal gives a way to learn more about treasure family heirlooms, including their history and monetary value. A poster printing company can provide a variety of marketing materials sure to be effective when it comes to promoting local events.

The Carnegie-Schadde Memorial Public Library is proud to present this event to the public, starting at 10:00 am on Saturday, January 11. Further details about how to get involved are available on the organizer's website.
