Baraboo hosts special event

Baraboo recently paid homage to its circus tradition and the strong spirit of community that exists within its residents.

The city played host to a Big Top Parade and Circus Celebration during which there was a wide range of activities geared towards the whole family, no matter what their age. There was a farmers’ market, an antique and artisan fair, old fashioned carnival games, a display of convertible cars, attractions for kids, and a variety of vendors who provided food for the hungry crowds.

Live entertainment was on tap in each of the city’s downtown intersections, which features different musical and comedy acts. One of the highlights of the day was the Big Top Parade, where more than 75 community entities and circus performers took to the streets around the courthouse square district.

There was free parking for the public, and shuttles were available to take people to the downtown area. A printing company can help to keep events like this running smoothly by creating signage and other materials that let the public know exactly what it going on and where. This can easily be designed to fit into the overall theme of the celebration.

Support for the event was provided partly by a Sauk Count Arts, Humanities and Historic Preservation grant, as well as the Wisconsin Arts Board, the National Endowment for the Arts, and the State of Wisconsin.
