What's Happening in Baraboo, WI…

Baraboo fundraiser supports Devils Lake State Park

A Baraboo venue that provides an opportunity to experience nature is about to get a funding boost thanks to an activity organized by Friends of Devil's Lake State Park.

The organization hosts fundraisers and other projects, and it has organized its first golf outing for late July. Baraboo Country Club has been chosen to serve as the course for the day, and there are enough spots for 15 teams of four.

The day will open in the late morning, and the fee to sign up a team is $500. The games will begin with a shotgun start, and once they have finished, the players can sit back and relax during the cocktail hour with a cash bar. Dinner is included, and there will be special prize opportunities on offer out on the course.

The planners have put out a call for both financial sponsorships and the donation of corporate gifts in kind that may be used as a draw prize or added to a gift basket. This type of activity gives a company a chance to put its branding in the public’s eye in front of a potentially interested audience.

The inaugural Friends of Devil’s Lake State Park’s Golf Scramble will hit the links on Tuesday, July 29. Tickets to play through can be purchased on the group’s website.
