A new program has been set up that will allow those who live in Baraboo to connect with new residents to share information and tips about living in the city and the surrounding area.
The organization, named ‘Baraboo Boosters’, was created through a joint effort of the city and its chamber of commerce. It matches volunteers who are knowledgeable about the community with those who have recently moved there.
Those who have volunteered their time to lend a hand will keep up to date with the newest resources and developments that may be of interest to newcomers. The chamber of commerce has had cards designed that have their phone number on them, so people will know how to reach volunteers. They have been distributed to real estate agents and apartment complex mangers.
Once someone calls, a time will be set up for one of the volunteers to meet with them and help them to get to know Baraboo a little bit better. They can tell them about the local attractions and different community supports that may be of interest to newcomers, give information about the school system, and advise on what sorts of activities can be found in the local area.
Along with this, they will distribute Brochures from different service organizations, as well as the Explore Baraboo Guide, packets of information from the Baraboo School Distract, and Presentation Folders with Brochures from Parks and Recreation.Get a Free Quote for Presentation Folders Get a Free Quote for Brochures
