Spokane Valley to offer major home event

Home shows are often held as the weather warms up, and such an event is coming to Spokane Valley soon.

The Spokane Spring Arts and Crafts Show will be held at the Spokane Fair & Expo Center in Spokane Valley. More than 300 artisans from throughout the Northwest will be on hand to sell specialty foods, handcrafted items, and fine art. Every artist will be representing their own work, giving attendees a chance to speak directly to the craftspeople.

Jim Custer Enterprises, Inc., is promoting the show, and expects more than 300 exhibitors to take part. This is the 45th year for the show, which will offer seasonal décor, mixed media, wearable fiber art, paintings, candles, soaps, photography, metal art, wood turning, fused glass, hand-thrown pottery, and jewelry.

Specialty foods include baking mixes, balsamic vinegars, artisan cheeses, caramel apples, gourmet chocolates, and hand-crafted loose-leaf teas. Samples will be available for many of the foodstuffs. When events like this are scheduled, organizers can use flyer printing to create maps of the venue with a list of vendors.

The show is juried and is scheduled for April 1 to 3. April 1, the hours are 10:00 am until 8:00 pm; on April 2, the show is open from 10:00 am until 6:00 pm; and on April 3, the hours are 10:00 am until 4:00 pm. The expo center is on North Havana Street and admission is $7.
