Major show to happen near Spokane Valley

An important event for gardeners is on the menu in Spokane, next door to Spokane Valley.

Garden Expo 2022 will bring fun, information, and loads of vendors with products for the garden. Fairgoers will be able to meet and chat with more than 250 vendors who have products and services related to gardening. There will be demonstrations and seminars, as well as door prizes, food trucks, live music, and an outdoor garden railroad. Vendors at events like this usually distribute Business Cards to those interested in their products.

Attendees are invited to bring their garden carts or wagons to haul away all the garden-related products they purchase. Plant sellers will offer trees, annuals, succulents, bulbs, tomato plants, heirloom vegetables, unusual perennials, and nursery plants. Representatives from manufacturers, suppliers, and garden stores will be available, as will crafters. Vendors with garden décor and art will be in attendance, as will vendors of yard furniture.

Attendees will enjoy fun and educational seminars about gardening and learn from live demonstrations

Ciscoe Morris, a gardening “guru” from Seattle will be making his first visit to the fair. He will give a short talk and discuss his book “Oh, La La! Homegrown Stories, Helpful Tips, and Garden Wisdom,” which is packed with tales about life and gardening.

The fair will be held at the Spokane Community College Lair on North Greene Street in Spokane. The fair runs from 9:00 am until 5:00 pm on Saturday, May 14. Both admission and parking are free.
