Piff the Magic Dragon-The Fun Size Tour will be appearing at the Bing Crosby Theater in Spokane, next door to Spokane Valley. Piff is the stage name of John van der Put, who is from the United Kingdom. He has won awards from various British magic societies and appeared on America’s Got Talent and on Penn & Teller: Fool Us. Variety named van der Put as one of their “10 Comics to Watch” in 2019.
Van der Put became interested in magic as a teenager, but his parents wanted him to have a back-up plan, so he studied computer science, in which he has a degree. He worked in IT for two years, but a severe illness led him to reconsider his career choice, and he decided to return to show business. He studied at the Central School of Speech and Drama to learn how to perform and went on to build his career, specializing in close-up magic. Poster printing is often used to publicize events like this.
A review of Piff says:
“ . . . the show did not disappoint! The magic was phenomenal, the comedy had me in tears, and the show as a whole was better than anything I’ve ever seen. Piff is worth going out of your way to see!”
Piff will be appearing March 26, at 8.00 pm.
