Festive fundraiser arranged near Spokane Valley

A popular fundraising event has been scheduled for Spokane, a few minutes from its neighbor, Spokane Valley.

Christmas Tree Elegance 2020 is a project of the Spokane Symphony Associates, a nonprofit organization that raises funds to support the orchestra. The event showcases 18 Christmas displays, including trees and accompanying decorative objects, that are displayed for the public to enjoy for free. Anyone can purchase a raffle ticket for $1, and has a chance to win one of the trees.

The popular event will be held somewhat differently this year, due to the ongoing health crisis. Tree Elegance has customarily been held at the Historic Davenport Hotel, which was built in 1914 and is a downtown Spokane landmark. However, because of the necessity of social distancing, the event this year is moving to River Park Square, a shopping mall, where the trees will be displayed on the second floor, stretching between Urban Outfitters and Nordstrom. Visitors will follow a one-way pattern to look at the trees, and PPE will be available from ticket sellers and at ticket stations. The Associates plan to return the Tree Elegance to the Davenport in 2021.

The event draws over 100,000 people annually, and in 2019, raised over $400,000 for the orchestra. This year, Christmas Tree Elegance opens December 1 and runs through December 13. The hours are 10:00 am until 9:00 pm every day. Flyer printing can be used to create guides to events like this.
