Yearly festival set to return to Puyallup

The Meeker Days Festival is returning for three days next month, presented by the Puyallup Main Street Association.

The festival takes place every year on the third weekend of June. It is set to feature more than 200 vendors, including artisans selling their handmade items, nonprofit organizations providing information, commercial businesses and a Farmers’ Row market featuring local produce for sale. There will be two food courts and four stages to provide musical and other entertainment. Kids’ activities will be held at W. Pioneer Avenue and Meridian and will include inflatables, face painting, arts and crafts, a kids’ entertainment stage, and Mother Goose’s Farmyard.

There will also be a Battle of the Bands, a classic car show at 2nd Street SE and Meeker, and beer and wine gardens for the adults. In addition, there will be an antique tractor display and tractor pull races, as well as the Lil’ Miss Meeker pageant and a downtown street dance party.

Puyallup banner printing firms may be asked to provide Banners for display, either for the winner of the Lil’ Miss Meeker contest or to recognize sponsors.

The Meeker Days festival will be held at various venues including downtown and Pioneer Park from June 17 to 19. Admission is free of charge. To get the latest information about this event, contact the Puyallup Main Street Association at 253-840-2631.
