An upcoming event in Puyallup will take people back in time.
Rewind Washington will bring fans together with some of the actors and artists who make entertainment memorable. Special guests will take part in presentations and panels, and fans will have the opportunity to have professional photos taken with the guest stars.
Among the confirmed guests are two actors who defined late 1970s television: Erik Estrada and Larry Wilcox. The duo starred as motor officers in a series that is still loved by fans the world over, “CHiPs.” Estrada was cast as the boisterous Frank “Ponch” Poncherello and Wilcox played his partner and mentor, Jon Baker. The two rode their motorcycles on the Los Angeles freeways for six seasons. Both have gone on to perform in many additional projects, both on television and in film, but will always be remembered for this show.
Another familiar face is that of Reginald VelJohnson, who is known for his role as Carl Winslow on “Family Matters,” which he played in over 200 episodes. He is also familiar for his portrayal of police sergeant Al Powell in “Die Hard” and “Die Hard 2.”
Retro arcade games are planned, and the venue, which is the Washington State Fair and Event Center, will have food vendors on hand. The convention is set for March 28 and 29, and the address is 110 9th Avenue Southwest in Puyallup.
