Upcoming fair offers fun for the entire family

The Washington State Fair is returning to Puyallup next month for 21 days. The fair offers family-friendly activities that should appeal to everyone.

One of the biggest draws at the fair is the midway with rides and games. There is also a fine arts show, free entertainment, interactive exhibits, contests, and a kids’ area. Several well-known entertainers will also be bringing their shows, including Tim McGraw, Smash Mouth and Jeff Foxworthy, and Larry the Cable Guy. Ticket prices vary for these performances.

In addition, over 900 vendors of all kinds will be on hand to sell their merchandise. There will also be a beer haven, a daily parade, the Catch a Rising Star Talent Show, a rodeo, and fireworks every Friday.

As with most state fairs, there are expected to be several animal exhibits. Guests will also have the opportunity to meet the fair’s mascot, Big Washington.

Many of the vendors participating in the fair may decide to invest in banner printing services from a Puyallup printing firm to draw more attention to their booths.

The Washington State Fair will be held at the Fairgrounds from September 2 to 25 from Wednesday to Monday each week. Tickets for adults are $10 until September 1 and $12.50 after, and $7.50 or $9 for seniors and children aged 6 to 18. Call 253-845-1771 to learn more.
