The Sewing and Stitchery Expo is taking place in Puyallup for three days next month.
Prior to that, several classes will be held on subjects such as long arm quilting, making go-to hoodies, and embroidery. Such classes will continue for the run of the show.
There will be over 400 vendors on hand who will be selling a wide variety of related items including fabrics, wool, thread, tools, and sewing accessories. There are lots of different events planned for the three-day expo. This includes the Friday Night Live seminar on the topic of ‘Turning your hobby into a career’ led by Martha Pullen and Quilter’s Night Out on Saturday with the Quilting Criminals. Each begins at 6:00 PM and costs $25. There is also a hat contest.
The For the Love of Pets sewing area will teach people how to make clothing and other items for their pets. All proceeds from this event go to the Humane Society for Tacoma and Pierce County. A $5 donation is recommended.
It is likely that a Puyallup poster printing will be asked to help spread the word about this event in the community.
