State fair will help close out summer with a bang

Summer is almost over and the Washington State Fair will be returning to Puyallup next month for 17 days.

Like most state fairs, this one will have homecraft competitions, livestock shows and exhibits, and carnival rides and games. There will also be a variety of free and paid concerts. The concert series has ticket prices for $28 and up depending on the artist. Some of those who will be performing at this year's show include Weird Al Yankovic, Heart, Keith Urban, Patti Labelle, Kool and the Gang, and Pitbull.

There is also set to be a rodeo, animals of the world exhibit, a fair farm, a Star Trek exhibition, and lots of other family-friendly activities. Vendors will be on hand to sell a variety of arts and crafts, and other merchandise.

Many people come to Puyallup from all over the state to enjoy the fair. In order to advertise effectively, organizers may invest in the services of local poster printing companies.

The Washington State Fair will be held at the Events Center from September 11 to 27. There are various levels of tickets, and a season's pass is $30.50 in advance or $35.50 at the gate, and a three-day pass is $20. One-day tickets cost $10 in advance or $12.50 at the gate for adults, and $7.50 or $9 for seniors and children between the ages of 6 and 18. Visit the website for more information.
