Risotto is a popular dish in fine dining establishments, and those who take a seat in a Puyallup area workshop will walk away knowing how to prepare it in their own home kitchen.
This short grain rice dish can be surprisingly easy to prepare, and during the session, the learners will get hands-on experience in making it. The class will be taught by Chef Julia, and will follow a vegetarian recipe.
All equipment and ingredients needed to prepare this dish will be supplied to the students, and they will learn how they can add their own personal touch to the recipe. Intended to be a fun experience, the organizer explains it is suitable for both novice and experienced cooks alike. Masks are mandatory for the students, who are asked to arrive 15 minutes ahead of the scheduled start time.
This sort of workshop can be as fun as it is tasty, and the students often appreciate receiving written hard Copies of the recipe used. The organizers can count on local printers that craft Letterheads and other custom Stationery to provide materials like this, perhaps laminated in case of a kitchen spill.
Chef Julia’s Place, which is located at 33601 21st Avenue Southwest in Federal Way, will be sharing tips for making gourmet risotto on December 11. Tickets are $59 each, and the workshop will start at 6:30 pm.
