Puyallup to sample some sweet treats

Puyallup residents who love the sweet taste of fresh honey are invited to make a beeline for an event that has been planned for the community.

The Sioux Honey Association Co-op will be arriving in town to participate in the Washington State Fair as part of its seven-state tour. Those who come out will be able to step up to the 20-foot-long tasting truck and the public will be able to try as many samples as they wish. There will also be sampling of dishes that contain this sweet, natural ingredient.

A photo booth will be set up for the occasion, and they will be an assortment of other family friendly activities as well. People will have an opportunity to learn about the Co-op, as well as the bees that are at the center of its work, and the organizers have invited everyone who comes to the state fair to make a stop at their display. A printer will be able to use graphic design to craft labels and other materials an enterprise can use when selling its products.

The Sioux Honey Association’s display will be arriving in the community on September 1, and will remain at the fair until September 4. More information about the co-op and its activities for anyone who wants further details can be found on its website.
