The 32nd annual National Night Out will be celebrated in Puyallup early next month, with the police department, the National Association of Town Watch, and members of the public being invited to take part.
Residents will be asked to lock their doors, turn on the outdoor lighting around their house, and enjoy an evening of getting to know their neighbors and police a little bit better.
Neighborhoods throughout the community have made special plans to help make the night special. They include things like cookouts, parades, block parties, ice cream socials, potluck dinners, and meet-and-greets with local law enforcement, fire departments, first responders, city officials, and members of different emergency preparedness agencies.
The National Night Out campaign is held in over 16,540 cities and towns across the U.S., Canada, and both countries’ military bases around the world, and it is expected that 38 million people will chose to take part.
The Puyallup event is scheduled to take place on August 4 from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm. A banner printing firm can create Banners and other decorations to help provide an even more festive air to these community-based celebrations. These can be customer designed for each neighborhood’s specific planned events.
Those who plan something to mark the night in Puyallup and are interested in having the police drop by their function can register to do so by this Wednesday, July 29.Get a Free Quote for Banners
