Smart green thumbs know a plant exchange can be a fun way to add to their horticultural collection, and one will soon be on offer in Puyallup.
On a Saturday afternoon in June, the Tacoma Houseplant Club will be celebrating its first anniversary with a houseplant swap, and the public is welcome to reserve a spot at the event. Each participant can swap their cuttings and rooted plants for others, and as there will be a “free for all” table, even the newbies in the crowd will be able to go home with some new greenery.
Each person who brings some items to swap will be given a name tag and tray to put their plants on, and they can then peruse the other offerings to see if they can make a swap. Plant clippings, transplants, whole plants, pots and other accessories are welcome, and everyone who plans on being a part of the fun is reminded to bring a container to take home the new green additions to their home.
Along with the swap, there will be a raffle, question and answer session, and mixer for everyone who is interested in indoor horticulture. Flyers can be a budget-friendly way to make sure the public knows that an event like this will soon be held in their area, and these can be supplied by a professional flyer printing company.
This occasionnwill be open to the public on June 23. It will be located at 1220 South Proctor Street in Tacoma.
