Puyallup has an event in the works that will celebrate fall’s arrival, and it will be filled with both traditional Oktoberfest activities and other fun.
Washington State Fair will be the venue for a Munich-inspired Oktoberfest celebration, and it will have activities for almost everyone. Free parking will be available in the venue’s Blue parking lot, and the agenda offers plenty of ways to get involved over the course of three days.
People who drop by will be treated to traditional German-style food, and beer will be flowing as well, served in traditional steins. A 5K stein dash and root beer run are both in the works. There will be contests, games, and other entertainment, and everyone can cheer on the contestants in the wiener dog races. The Bavaria Bier-lympics will make their return, and at night, local ‘80s cover bands will take to the stage to keep the crowd dancing.
