Puyallup plans Junk in your Trunk pop-up markets
After Puyallup households tackle their spring clean-up projects, they may find they have items that still have life left in them. A local event can help them turn their trash into someone else's treasure.
The Junk in your Trunk community garage sales series will start in mid-June, and dates are also scheduled for July and August. The booking fee for a space starts at $20.00 each, and everyone who is interested can book spaces on two dates.
These pop-up markets, which are scheduled for Puyallup’s Fruitland Grange, will be filled with gently used items, and each selling space will be 18’ by 18’ in size. The sellers can park their vehicle in their spot so they can set up their sales display, and all of the installments will be open to the public for six hours. Each will take place rain or shine, and the organizers explained that they are hoping to hear from an interested food truck operator who would like to set up shop.
Grassroots events can be true community builders, as they bring neighbors together in a spirit of fun. A poster printing company can prepare a variety of marketing materials for an occasion that can be very budget friendly.
The Junk in Your Trunk market series will be held on June 21st, July 19th and August 16th. Its website provides more information as well as an application for anyone interested in selling.
