The Kiwanis Club of Daffodil Valley engages in an assortment of community service projects, and one of its fundraisers will give local gearheads a reason to smile.
The club has plans in the works for its Puyallup Cruise in for Youth car show, and there will be 20 different classes for the registrants to choose from. It will be held at the O’Reilly Distribution Center, and it was noted that the organizers are grateful for the company’s support.
This will be the 17th year the activity has taken place, and trucks, cars, rat rods, motorcycles, and other vehicles will all be welcome. At least 30 awards will be presented, and food will be available for anyone who would like a snack. Raffles and an even split draw have been planned, and the proceeds from the day will support scholarship programs for local high school students.
To thank the exhibitors for showing off their pride and joy, dash plaques and swag Bags will be distributed to the first 150 vehicles to arrive for the day. Items like these often include a special graphic design.
Puyallup will be giving its classic car lovers a cause to celebrate on August 7. The day will run from 8:00 am until 3:00 pm, and more information about the function, including how it will benefit local scholars, can be found on its online listing.
