Budgies, the well-loved little birds that originally hailed from Australia, will be the hosts for the re-opening of one of the attractions at a local zoo.
The Port Defiance Zoo and Aquarium has scheduled the reopening of two of its popular attractions, and the Puyallup public is invited to be part of the excitement. Budgie Buddies and Bugs Alive! will both be welcoming the public, and interactive experiences are on the agenda. The budgies will be in their usual aviary home, while the arachnids, insects, and other creepy-crawlies will welcome visitors in their new digs at the site’s Nature Play Garden.
Visitors to the zoo will be able to spend time with the budgies. They will learn about their ecology in nature, and they can also spend some time in the aviary, meeting and playing with these cheerful little birds. The Bugs Alive! Exhibits will incorporate stage shows, keeper talks, and a chance to meet some six-, eight-, and many-legged friends up close and personal.
Not-for-profit organizations and institutions sometimes offer Promotional Products as souvenirs for sale. These can also help to raise money, and there are options on offer at a wide selection of price points.
Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium will be opening both its Bugs Alive! and Budgie Buddies program on May 6. Its website provides more information.
