German festival returns to Puyallup

The 12th annual Oktoberfest Northwest festival is taking place next month in Puyallup, running for three days.

The festival is a celebration of all things German, especially food and beer. The Festhalle Biergarten will be serving traditional foods such as bratwurst and German beer. There will be a 5K Stein Dash, wiener dog races, and a Hammerschagen tournament (a bar game that involves driving a nail into a piece of wood). Music will be provided by the Oregon Polka Beats, the Enzian Schuhplattler Dancers, and Z Musikmakers.

The children are not forgotten. For them, there is a root bier garden, a scavenger hunt, and face painting. There will also be pumpkin decorating, arts and crafts activities, and corn hole games.

One special event of the festival will be the VIP dinner experience. This is for adults aged 21 and over and costs $100. It includes dinner, beer, and wine. Guests will receive a free beer stein and have access to a private beer garden.

Puyallup Print companies are often asked to provide products such as Banners and Signs to help separate certain areas at events such as this.

Oktoberfest Northwest will be held at the Washington State Fair Events Center from October 7 to 9. Tickets are $12 and half-price on Sunday, and children are only admitted until 7:00 PM. Visit the official website to learn more.
