The Communities in Schools of Puyallup will be hosting its 11th annual fundraising breakfast and auction next month, sponsored by the Korum for Kids Foundation.
The theme of this year's event is ‘Planting Seeds of Success’. Guests will be treated to breakfast and will then enjoy a performance by local students. There will also be a live auction and prize raffles.
During the event, the Communities in Schools of Puyallup (CIS) awards will be handed out. They are for Educator, Student Citizen, and Volunteer of the Year, and one will also be given to Community Partners of the Year.
CIS of Puyallup is dedicated to stopping children from dropping out of school and encouraging them to get better grades. The organization provides programs and services such as tutoring and mentoring.
No doubt many people in Puyallup, not just those involved with education, will want to support this worthwhile organization. Local printing companies often provide products such as Flyers or Invitations to encourage people to attend events such as this.
The fundraising breakfast and auction will be held at the Washington State Fair and Events Center Pavilion on March 23 from 7:15 am to 8:30 am. Tickets are $25 each or $250 for a table of eight, and guests are encouraged to RSVP online. For more information about this event, or about CIS of Puyallup, contact Jan Mauk at 253-235-6689.
