Downtown businesses have open-door start to October

The 10th annual Downtown Art and Wine Walk is being held in just a few days’ time, hosted by the Puyallup Main Street Association.

A number of businesses will be hosting art and music events, including Crockett's Pub House, Goldenrod Jewelers, and Victoria Sells Antiques. Guests will take a self-guided tour and visit the businesses of their choice. This is an over-21 event since wine will be served. In addition to being entertained, participants will be able to purchase tasting tokens to sample a variety of food.

Guests will receive a commemorative wine glass and eight tasting tokens with their ticket. Tickets can be purchased in advance or near City Hall on the day of the event.

Likely to be a good form of marketing for downtown stores and restaurants, it will expose more members of the public to these businesses and may result in them becoming regular customers. Participating Puyallup businesses could invest in printing services to let people know they are taking part, which could include poster, sign, and banner printing.

The Downtown Art and Wine Walk will take place this Saturday, October 4, from 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm. Tickets are $25 in advance or $30 on the day of the event. To get updated information on which businesses are participating, or to find out about purchasing tickets, call 253-840-2631.
