Annual summer festival promises cool jazz and good food

The Sumner Arts Festival is returning to the area next weekend, presented by the Sumner Downtown Association.

Artisans from all over the Northwest will be making their way to the festival to showcase and sell their handmade creations. Those who are participating were chosen by a jury and had to submit four color images of their work by the end of April.

Those who were picked were then given the opportunity to rent a 10 x 10 space for $150, or $250 for a double. The Sumner Downtown Association is hosting a reception for all vendors at their offices on the last evening of the festival

Downtown stores and restaurants will also be open and the Ryan House Museum will be holding tours. Live musical entertainment will feature artists like the Will Power Big Band, Dylan Cragle, and Gypsy Cab. Other activities will include micro-brew tastings, an evening street dance, and demonstrations by culinary artists.

This annual festival will likely attract visitors from all around the area, including nearby Puyallup. Organizers are likely to have invested in services such as flyer printing to spread word in the community.
