Helping a baby drift off to sleep can prove to be a real challenge, and a workshop that will soon be held in Olympia will offer tips to make it a whole lot easier.
Students in the Infant Sleep Education Class, which has been organized and will be facilitated by Marissa Bolanos, will learn ways they can help their new son or daughter, as well as themselves, have a good night’s sleep. A variety of approaches will be discussed, and the students can draw from these to find the ones that work the best for them.
The topics that will be covered during the workshop include how to ensure a safe sleep, what constitutes a “normal” sleep pattern for an infant, comforting measures that can be helpful for a young baby and how to promote a health balance in the family. Anyone interested is welcome to participate on their own or as part of a two-person unit, and a special discount will be offered to couples.
According to the planners of the session, it can aid in promoting the optimal development of proper sleep habits. A brochure printing company in the area can provide handouts and other learning materials for an event like this.
New Day Midwifery will be hosting this slumber-themed workshop on September 13th. It will be located at 1026 State Avenue Northwest in Olympia.
