Huntington’s disease is a genetic disorder that impacts hundreds of thousands of Americans, and an Olympia fundraiser will give the public a way to fight back.
The 2020 Western Washington Team Walk will see all ages take to the pavement to raise awareness and funds in support of those currently living with Huntington’s disease, as well as those who will develop it in the future and their families as well. Everyone will be able to get involved, whether on their own or a part of a team.
The walk will be held in Heritage Park. The walkers will set out at noon following an opening ceremony, and once everyone is finished, there will be time to mingle, socialize, and make new connections.
To thank the registrants for their support, the organizers are offering a variety of Corporate Gifts to the fundraisers. These range from water bottles to face coverings, and will feature a “Team Hope” Logo Design that has been prepared for the occasion. These will be distributed as the events schedule allows.
This opportunity for the public to stand behind those living with Huntington’s Disease will be taking place on September 19th, and the registration kiosk will open at 11:00 am. All support will be appreciated, and more details about how the public can lend a hand has been made available on the Huntington’s Disease Society of America’s website.
