Olympia to host Shellfish Slurp
Seafood lovers from Olympia and the surrounding area will soon have a chance to enjoy an evening of shellfish, local wines, beers and a whole lot more, all in support of habitat restoration and education about these marine animals.
The Shellfish Slurp will feature a variety of seafood dishes prepared by area eateries. Those who enjoy oysters will be able to eat to their hearts’ content at the Grand Oyster Bar.
Along with the food, a variety of awards will be presented, including the People’s Choice Wine Award and one for the Best Shellfish Dish, and there will also be a live auction, music, and an opportunity to make a purchase at the wine store.
In order to help mark the occasion, several beers have been brewed, and these will only be available during the event.
Al this will take place at the Fish Tale Brewhouse starting at 4:30 am on May 1. Tickets cost $60 in advance or $75 at the door. There is also a special Muck-A-Much Party Package, which includes early entry for eight, a private table, a bottle of wine, glasses, a growler of beer, and a live tableside shucking demonstration. This type of custom drinkware can be provided by a printer.
Anyone who wants to purchase tickets or find out further details is asked to visit the Shellfish Slurp website.
