Olympia science center to explore the world of robotics

Olympia’s budding techies who want to learn more about the world of robotics are invited to visit a workshop that will lead them through an exploration of robotic technology.

The WET Technology Center will be the location for a two-hour workshop that will give kids who are in grades four and up an opportunity to learn more about robots and how they are used now, and their potential for the future. It will involve hands-on learning, and each participant will build their very own piece of technology and enter it in a friendly competition.

Parents and caregivers are welcome to participate with their son or daughter, but those who wish to do so will need to reserve their own space. They can also opt to observe from a standing spot or spend the time browsing through the exhibit gallery. As only a limited number of spaces are available, anyone who would like to take part is asked to sign up as soon as possible. Brochures that provide details about this type of function can help to promote it to families in the local area.

The workshops will be held on March 3, and will start at 11:00 am and 2:00 pm. For more info, or for those who would like to register, visit the center’s website.
