Olympia residents asked to remember others this holiday season

Olympia will be playing host this holiday season to an event that seeks to raise funds to be used to improve the lives of the less fortunate.

The Providence St. Peter Foundation has organized ‘Christmas Forest’, which will include a display of both evergreen wreaths and trees decorated by some of the top designers from around Thurston County. There will also be a Christmas Forest Gift Shop, where the public can browse through the wide assortment of items that will be offered for sale, and maybe even find the perfect gift for everyone on their list.

The event has been taking place for the past 28 years, and has been able to collect more than $9.8m. Its organizers hope that it will have another successful year. The monies raised will be used to help support the purchase of medical equipment, fund charity care, and pay for programs that help people throughout the community. A Print professional will be able to supply Holiday Cards and other items that can be sold during a fundraiser like this.

Christmas Forest will run from November 30 until December 4 at the Hotel RL by Red Lion, which is located at 2300 Evergreen Park Drive SW in Olympia.

Further details about the celebration, as well as photos of the trees and wreaths that will be displayed, can be found on the event’s website.
