Olympia ready for its summer showdown

Olympia’s main summer event, the Lakefair Festival, is hosted by the Capitalarians and offers families in this area some great summer fun, activities, and events.

Attendees will have the chance to enjoy all types of family entertainment, as well as the annual parade. Poster printing, banner printing, and flyer printing might all have been used to remind people about the events taking place at this year’s festival.

During the Lakefair Festival, families will enjoy a wide selection of arts and craft vendors, an area designed for those who are aged 50 or over, and the traditional summer sidewalk sale. There will be entertainment like ‘Battle of the Bands’, as well as various live musical groups. The grand parade, a favorite of many, will once again feature floats and bands.

There also will be the annual Lake Fair 3K and 8K runs, as well as a number of food booths and shopping opportunities. Guests can enjoy the carnival rides and activities and take in the fireworks during the evening hours. A full schedule of these events is available online.

The Lakefair Festival is free to attend and will be happening from Wednesday, July 17, to Sunday, July 21 at various hours and locations along the banks of the Capital Lake, including Heritage Park on Water Street, Marathon Park on Deschutes Parkway, the Capitol Campus on Capitol Way, and at Sylvester Park on 5th Avenue in Olympia, Washington.
