A popular outdoor Olympia event will soon be returning to Columbus Park, and its planners are excited to be able to bring it back.
Prior to being put on hiatus due to Covid, this annual fishing event had been held in the park for eight years. It is back and open for registration, and in honor of its founder, it has been renamed The Bob Leingang Memorial Fish In.
The park will be filled with families who would like to learn more about fishing, and anyone who is aged 14 or under can try their luck at landing a big one. A variety of small businesses and food vendors from the local area will be onsite to add even more excitement to the day, and prizes will be presented to the fishers.
The organizers of this activity have said that there may still be spaces for more vendors and sponsors to get involved. Those that do will have their generosity recognized by having their Logo Design seen by a wide pool of potential customers.
The 2023 Bob Leingang Memorial Fish In will be introducing kids to the fun of fishing with a rod and reel on Saturday, April 29. Anyone who would like to add their name to the list of vendors or supporters is asked to call 360-786-9460 to arrange this.
