Olympia invited to make beeline for local learning opportunity

Whether they are bees, birds, bats, beetles or some other creature, pollinators play a vital role in the world. An Olympia presentation will give the public a sneak peek into their lives and the need to protect them for the years to come, and its open to all who wish to learn.

This January, the Stream Team will be welcoming guest speaker Mary Dressel, and she will lead the audience through an exploration of the lives of bees and other pollinators. It can be both informative and entertaining, and is part of an entire day filled with activities that will all be focused on how, by pollinating plants, these creatives are an important part of the human food supply.

During the talk, Dessel will discuss the life cycle of bees and some of the possible reasons why their numbers have been in decline. The hope is that each of the audience members will leave the event with a greater appreciation of pollinators, and they can even construct a bee house to help welcome natives species of these insects into their own yard.

Supplying the attendees with promotional Pens and other swag during this type of activity can help to spread the word about an organization. They can be especially effective if they include its Logo Design.

The WET Science Center has made plans to hold this free learning opportunity on January 4. More information is available at 360-664-2333.
