Cat lovers from all over the state, and from as far afield as Canada and the Eastern U.S., recently converged on Olympia for an International Cat Association sanctioned cat show.
The November 23 show, which featured 140 cats of different breeds from all over the world, was held in the Forest Ballroom at the Red Lion Hotel. With the theme of ‘It’s A Small World’, 12 judges, who included ones from Austria, France, and Russia, examined each entry and scored them based upon variety of characteristics. They worked in groups of six, with different judges performing their duties each day.
The show not only gave owners a chance to show off their favorite felines, it also raised money for a local charity that helps cats. Funds were raised for the Community Cat Coalition through the sale of tickets to spectators. The group works with free roaming cats, providing them with vaccinations, medical care, and surgeries, as well as spaying or neutering them.
A printing company can help to make an event like this an even better success by providing its organizers with all the printed materials they need. They can produce score sheets, decorative Banners, and even printed ribbons and certificates for those who place the highest in the show, giving the event the kind of professional feel it needs.
