The Thurston Chamber of Commerce is hard at work preparing for an annual special Olympia event, and the whole community is being offered an assortment of ways to get involved.
Whether they choose to attend the Thurston Chamber Foundation’s Brew Fest as a guest, volunteer, or sponsor of the celebration, the activity is attracting a considerable attention from local members of the public and businesses alike. It will showcase the creativity of the area craft brewers, and is open to people who are age 21 and over.
The afternoon and evening will offer a curated selection of 40 beers sourced from more than 20 breweries, and for the enjoyment of the designated drivers, bottomless root beer and water will also be served. Sponsor booths will be set up, and these, along with live entertainment and food service providers, will all help to create a memorable experience.
In an effort to make this celebration fun for all, the organizers explained that they are searching for volunteers. These helpers will receive a T-shirt that boasts an official Olympia Beer Fest graphic design.
Proceeds from this community festival will benefit the area’s small businesses and entrepreneurs, many of which have been hit hard by the Covid pandemic. It will take place on Saturday, August 7 at Port Plaza in Olympia, from 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
