Olympia event to celebrate vintage cycles

Many of those who call Olympia home enjoy seeing the world from atop two wheels, and an event planned for the area may be just what they have been waiting for.

The annual Tenino Classic Swap Meet and Show is scheduled for two days in August, and as in previous years, it will be filled with a pop-up market, as well as a back road ride and other activities. The event is being hosted by the Antique Motorcycle Club of America’s (AMCA) Evergreen Chapter.

The celebration is anticipated to draw attendees from throughout the Pacific Northwest and even as far afield as Canada, and it will be geared towards those who enjoy riding or restoring bikes that are at least 35 years old. All makes and models, including imports from Japan, are welcome, and the market will offer vintage parts and accessories. An organized touring ride will take place, and everyone will be able to enjoy a show staged by the Tenino Motorcycle Drill Team.

A summer weekend can be an ideal backdrop for many types of outdoor activities. Banner printing and other service for this sort of occasion will be on offer at a local printer.

The Annual Tenino Swap Meet and Show has been set for August 19 and 20. Park Avenue will be the venue for the celebration.
