Olympia kids who spend a lot of time in the woods and want to challenge themselves are encouraged to register for a camp that can take their skills to the next level.
The Advanced Wilderness Survival Camp that will be taking place in Priest Point Park will offer a deep dive into surviving the wild, and it will do this through a series of activities that can be as fun as they are challenging. The campers will work both on their own and as part of a team, and it's intended for young people who are from ages 9 to 14.
The group will learn a variety of fire building techniques, and they will also discover the various tools that can be used to help them both thrive and survive if they are ever lost in a wild area. Animal tracking, navigation and finding food will all be included, and the goal is for the participants to make new friends and have a whole lot of fun .
Each person who takes part in this activity is asked to dress appropriately and bring along a snack and also a bagged lunch. Parents or guardians will need to sign waivers, and Stationery printers can both design and Print these sorts of items.
