Emily Program plans new office in Olympia

The nationally-recognized treatment center for eating disorders, The Emily Program, announced plans recently to open a new facility in Olympia, Washington.

This will be the program's third location in and around the Seattle area, and its fourth Pacific Northwest location. The program offers many levels of care at the South Sound location – from eating disorder assessments to family, group, and individual therapy, as well as nutritional counseling, medicals, and psychiatric services.

The Cleveland Center for Eating Disorders may need to visit Print companies and freshen up its logos, as it will be partnering with The Emily Program and becoming The Emily Program – Cleveland. Jillian Lampert, senior director of business and community development for the organisation, said:

“This is an exciting period of growth for The Emily Program. We are excited to expand our unique services in Seattle and be a part of the South Sound Community.

“We help our patients realize that recovery is possible and one foundation of that recovery is our outpatient services because we live our lives as ‘outpatients’.”

Recent estimates suggest that more than 250,000 people in the state of Washington suffer from different types of eating disorders, including anorexia and bulimia, as well as compulsive overeating and binge eating disorder.

The Emily Program will begin to make appointments next year. To get more information or be placed on a waiting list, contact one of the other Seattle locations.
