A short course will help to take the fear out of the equation for Olympia parents-to-be.
The four-week series of classes will cover a variety of topics so that new moms and dads will hit the ground running when it comes to the birthing process and caring for their brand new bundle of joy. An initiative of Olympias Obstetrics and Gynecology, it will include hands-on learning.
The topics on the table for discussion during the series range from the anatomy and physiology of birth to newborn care, and the emotional side of the process will be on the agenda. The registrants are encouraged to take part with their birthing partner, and when the classes have wrapped up, the learners will hopefully feel confident about their ability to navigate the process and parent their new son or daughter.
