Lovers of the sea and the traditional craft that sail it are invited to come out to the 37th annual Olympia Wooden Boat Fair.
This event, which has become a community tradition, will be held at Percival Landing Park. As part of the weekend’s activities, a variety of different wooden watercraft will be on display, including row boats, power boats, sail boats, canoes, kayaks, and dinghies. One of them will be the Old Man IV, which is a naval command cutter that was constructed back in 1957 as a transport ship for use by admirals. It is 52 feet in length and is made of teak, cedar, fir, mahogany, and other woods. Brochure printing can be used to create Booklets that give more information about each of the crafts on display, who owns them, and how they are used.
Along with the boats, artisans from the local area will have their works, many with a nautical theme, available for the public to browse through and buy. When they feel like a snack, the International Food Alley will be offering seafood, international choices, and also desserts.
Children will be able to enjoy the boat building booth, and there will be live music to entertain the crowd.
