A weekend festival is planned for Mill Creek, a short distance from Lynnwood.
The Mill Creek Festival and Street Fair is expected to draw as many as 20,000 people to two days of art, music, food, and fun. Organizers anticipate that nine bands will perform, and that approximately 110 vendors will be on hand, along with 13 food vendors, and nearly 70 artists.
The bands on Saturday are Robbie Dee with his “Breakfast Beers with Elvis” tribute, followed by the Sh80s, who play hits from the 1980s. Next is the Van Halen tribute band Atomic Punks, followed by The Davanos, who play classic rock. The day winds up with another tribute, this time to Bon Jovi, by the Non Jovi band.
Sunday starts with recorded music and a happy hour, with MC Stitch Mitchell. The Battista Brothers play classic hits, followed by Mr. Pink, who plays Top 40 dance music. Brickhouse is next, playing disco, and Nite Wave winds things up, playing ‘80s pop hits. The performances start at 11:00 am on both days, and the performers may change.
The Mill Creek Festival is scheduled for Saturday, July 12 from 10:00 am until 8:00 pm, and Sunday July 13 from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm. Festival attendees are asked not to park in the Rite Aid or Safeway lots, so organizers have set up a shuttle. Organizers of events this size often enhance the experience by using flyer printing to create handouts that list performers.
