Art event scheduled for Lynnwood
An upcoming event will allow participants to create their own artwork under the guidance of a mentor.
CAM ARTS is the organizer of the upcoming REQUIEM: Love Beauty Remembrance. The event is a day to reflect, celebrate, make art, and consider the deeper meaning of personal relationships.
Noted artists are scheduled to share their stories, publications, and works, which will inspire participants to create their own. The artists taking part are Juliette Aristides, Abigail Platter, Josie Rosier, and Tim Yerrington. Aristides is a painter based in Seattle who will be discussing her book, “The Inner Life of the Artist,” which contains almost 100 works by historical and contemporary artists, as well as essays, insights, and more.
Abigail Platter is a contemporary illustrator who enjoys representational painting and examining signs and symbols in the context of modern culture.
Josie Rosier is a professional actor trained in both screen and stage performance. She has a BSc in Acting Performance as well as a CertHE in Counseling and Theology. Recently, her focus has been podcasting, voice acting, and writing.
Tim Yerrington is a designer and visual artist who is especially interested in what he calls “the making process.” He will be mentoring the art making session.
The event is a full day, and a catered luncheon is included. The venue is the Community Life Center in Lynnwood. Events like this can be benefitted by organizers using flyer printing to create instruction sheets.
