Unusual event for lantern lovers in Lacey

A common item found in almost every household where residents enjoy camping will be the focus of an upcoming event in Lacey.

The PNW Chapter of the International Coleman Collectors Club is the organizer of the annual Coleman Lantern Display. The event is what it sounds like - a chance for people who collect Coleman camping equipment, including stoves and lanterns, to display the items they have amassed.

Some of the participants may have items they are willing to sell or offer in trade. When events like this are scheduled, organizers may use brochure printing to create a pamphlet describing the various items visitors can expect to see displayed.

Organizers are on the hunt for vintage stoves and lanterns. Luckily for potential owners, they do not necessarily have to be Coleman items. Anyone who has a piece of equipment they are no longer using is invited to bring it to the event, as another person might like to buy it. The Lantern Display is family friendly; organizers plan to have free items to give to children.

The Lantern Display is scheduled for Saturday, April 1, beginning at 9am, at the Best Western Plus Lacey Inn & Suites, located at 8326 Quinault Drive NE in Lacey. There is free parking available, and the event itself is also free of charge.
