A special event in Lacey will help support community members.
4 the Love Foundation is the organizers of the upcoming Winter Wonderland - 4th Annual Gala, which will be held at the Lacey Community Center. The evening will feature a gourmet dinner followed by an auction, with the proceeds going to help neighbors in need.
Nicole Andres and Tessa Effland established the 4 the Love Foundation in 2021, when they realized they shared a vision of helping neighbors, which in turn strengthens the entire community.
Among their services 4 the Love provides financial assistance; housing support including help with mortgage payments, rent, and hotel costs for those facing homelessness or eviction. They also provide families with nutritious meals, and gas support so people have access to needed transportation. They aid survivors of domestic violence and offer family emergency support in crises when other agencies are not available. They give Christmas gifts to children in the foster care system, and in general fill in gaps where needed.
The gala is scheduled for February 28, from 5.30 pm until 10.00 pm. The center is located at 6729 Pacific Avenue Southeast. Organizers of this year’s event request that guests wear formal attire and enjoy an evening during which they can connect with each other, celebrate community, and help those who are less fortunate.
