Seasonal event springs up in Lacey

A popular event that has been sidelined due to the health crisis is returning to Lacey.

The Lacey Spring Fun Fair is back, bringing a car show, entertainment, music, clowns, food, crafts, and arts to what is one of Western Washington’s biggest festivals. The event lasts for two days and is free for everyone. Organizer of large events like this can use flyer printing to create maps of the fairgrounds to help attendees find specific vendors or attractions.

The first Lacey Spring Fun Fair was held in 1988 and has drawn thousands of attendees over the years. Special attractions include an obstacle course, Jurassic Adventure bouncer, a “Leaps and Bounds” challenge course, a giant slide, ballistic swings, and the Fun Fair Circus Train. More than 20 booths are planned featuring giveaways, games, and crafts for the kids.

DinoCrew NW will also be on hand with their “real dinosaurs.” The company uses puppets and mechanical, life-sized dinosaurs to bring the beasts to life.

The Fun Fair is scheduled for May 21, from 10.00 am until 6.00 pm, and May 22, from 11.00 am until 5.00 pm. The location is St. Martin’s University on Pacific Avenue SE. Since there is limited parking at the fair itself, a free shuttle will be available. The bus will run between the fair and the South Sound Mall, stopping near the Flag Pavilion/Civic Plaza.
