Group painting classes are becoming increasingly popular, and now one is coming up in Lacey.
Artväna is the organizer of an upcoming paint-and-sip event, which will be a chance for everyone to relax, get messy, try their hand at painting, and have fun at the same time. An artist will coach attendees step by step through the process of creating a painting, which of course the student can then take home.
The painting event attendees will copy is “But First Coffee,” which shows colorful, abstract flowers painted in pastels against a light blue background. The outline of a coffee copy floats in front of them. The piece suggests the colors of spring.
Snack items and coffee drinks will be available during the event, as Café Elite will offer its full menu.
Although the evening is open to people of all ages, the painting class itself is recommended for those ages 10 and older. A relaxing and stress-free class, people are invited to see for themselves how a class like this, plus coffee, can help them unwind.
There is limited seating, and people who wish to attend must pre-register. Refunds or transfers to different classes are available under certain circumstances.
The painting event will be held at Café Elite in Lacey on Saturday, February 4. The café is on Marvin Road. Events like this can be even more fun when organizers use flyer printing to create easy-to-follow instruction sheets for attendees.
