Painting party in Lacey

An upcoming event in Lacey will give attendees a chance to create a painting as they sip wine or beer.

Artvana, which hosts these events throughout Washington State, is planning a Sip and Paint Night at Top Rung Brewing in Lacey. Artists of every skill level are welcome, and a coach will guide attendees through the process of creating the painting step-by-step. The “Galaxy Mountain” is the art that will be recreated by the painters. It depicts a mountain range at night against a starry sky, and is done in dark colors, purple, blue, and black, with the stars providing a contrast.

The organizers at Top Rung aim to create an environment that is inviting, open, and dog and kid friendly. Snacks and hot pizza are on the menu, as are a variety of craft beers that are brewed in-house. Cider and wine are also available, along with non-alcoholic drinks. People attending the event will receive a discount of 10% off any pizza, and 15% off drinks. Anyone who would like to purchase an alcoholic beverage must be 21.

The event is scheduled for January 30, starting at 6.00pm. Top Rung Brewing is situated at 8343 Hogum Bay Lane Northeast in Lacey. Pre-registration is necessary since there are limited seats available. Artvana does not give refunds, but will transfer the tickets to a different class if necessary. Organizers can use flyer printing to create instruction sheets for participants.
