Many people are enjoying events where they can come to a venue, relax, and paint a work of art with the help of an expert. Such a painting party is coming up in Lacey.
Artväna is the organization hosting the paint and sip event. They will come to Café Elite where they will set up an area for the attendees to relax, enjoy a glass of wine, hence the “paint and sip” title for these events, and create their artwork. A professional artist will be on hand to assist the painters if they have any questions or concerns. Most sessions are approximately two hours long, and the artists take home their projects.
The painting the budding artists will be doing is called “Northern Lights,” which depicts a dark-blue night sky, full of stars, above a pine forest. The painting would be perfect for the Christmas holidays.
Café Elite has announced wine is now available, as well as their classic coffee drinks, and snacks.
All ages are welcome to attend, but the actual painting is probably more suitable for those ages ten and older.
The paint and sip is scheduled for September 2. Café Elite is located at 130 Marvin Road SE in Lacey. Since seating is limited, anyone interested is asked to pre-register. When events like this are planned, organizers can work with flyer printing to create instructional handouts for participants.
