A special event is coming up in Lacey that will allow the community to band together to help others, particularly those at risk.
Leaving the Sideline (LTS) is an organization with the motto “Compassion, Comradery, and Community,” and is dedicated to helping others. LTS brings community members together to increase awareness of mental health issues, especially as they pertain to active-duty military personnel, veterans, servicemembers on the frontlines, and professional athletes. It handles this mission with music, and recently announced the date for its Second Annual “Frontline Music Festival.”
The day will bring live entertainment, a beer garden, a kids’ zone, food, and a chance for members of the community to bond and help LTS with its mission. All money raised at the event will go to support mental health resources that will be used to support veterans’ organizations and those in need in and around Lacey Events like this, which bring people with common interests together, provide great opportunities for everyone to exchange Business Cards.
The Festival is scheduled for August 27, from 2:00 pm until 11:00 pm, at the Thurston County Fairgrounds in Lacey. The doors will open at 1:00 pm, with live entertainment starting at 2:00 pm. First responders, veterans, and active duty personnel will be admitted free. They may redeem a ticket online and show proof of their status at the event.
